Whether you are a new or seasoned yogi, you will find yourself at home here at Power Yoga Copenhagen. We offer several types of yoga, including our signature style of Free-Flow Vinyasa, which lets you move at your own pace. All of our classes are breathing classes first; everything else is secondary.
In every class, you will find yogis of all levels of experience. We believe that it allows you to grow and progress naturally, in your own time. So instead of classifying our classes as beginners, intermediate and advanced, we are using ‘No Sweat’, ‘Sweat’ and ‘Pouring Sweat’, to allow you to choose how much you are ready to, well… sweat!

BREATHWORK & MEDITATION
Breathing is the most important thing we’re doing in yoga. Come and learn different breathing techniques that have an assortment of health benefits. We start with breathing exercises followed by a short meditation. This class is free to the public. Come and get your pranayama on!
In Hatha we hold our yoga poses longer than we do in Vinyasa. This helps to get a deeper understanding of each posture, while at the same time using breathing exercises to bring peace to the mind and body.
Yin Yoga is a meditative class where passive, stretching postures are held for 3-10 minutes, and sometimes even longer. This creates a profound release of the body’s connective tissue; like deep, calming bodywork. It’s a wonderful practice for those seeking peace and inner quiet.
This short-form class is an adaptation of the traditional Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. In this class you have time to breathe into postures – we normally hold them for 5 breaths. This develops an intuitive understanding of how your body can embrace these ancient shapes.
Deep Vinyasa encourages moving inward. We have our eyes closed the whole class, which allows us to explore a deeper, healing connection between mind and body. Even though our eyes are closed, you will still get a good, sweaty workout. It’s ok, if you’ve never tried yoga, just come with an open mind, and expect to be challenged!
Jivamukti Yoga is a vinyasa-based yoga method that integrates the physical, ethical and spiritual dimensions of yoga. You can expect a well-rounded practice. Each class has a chosen theme, which is explored through yoga scriptures, meditation, asanas, hands-on adjustments, breathing practices, chanting, music (from classical ragas and kirtan to the Beatles and Moby), and ends with a deep relaxation.
An uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices, Kundalini Yoga incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the chanting of mantras, such as Sat Nam, meaning “truth is my identity.” The goal is to build physical vitality and increase consciousness.
If you’re new to yoga, this class is for you. A perfect opportunity to learn the foundations of our style of Vinyasa Yoga, in which we flow through the sequences on our own. You learn the ins and outs of basic important poses (asanas), sun salutations (surya namaskara) and breathing (pranayama). Even though it’s a beginner’s class, expect to sweat and be challenged!
Fun, sweaty and energetic, this is our special, signature class. It will give you the challenge and the workout you’ve been looking for. Power Vinyasa is an invigorating class of flowing postures to inspiring, upbeat music. We play rap, rock, pop, indie – you name it! In this class we learn how to Free Flow. We move through our sequences on our own, to the rhythm of our own breathing, which allows for deeper exploration into both mind and body. If you are looking to go beyond the ordinary and light your fire, this class is for you! It’s ok, if you’ve never tried yoga. Just come with an open mind, and expect to be challenged!
HIP HOP FLOW
This is a dynamic Power Vinyasa class where we flow through our sequences to hip-hop music. Forget your preconceived notions of what yoga is – in this class you’ll hear everything from gangsta rap to old-school RnB tunes. We’re talking the Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie, Outkast, Dru Down, Mac Dre and more. It’s very sweaty and lots and lots of fun! It’s ok, if you’ve never tried yoga, just come with an open mind, and expect to be challenged!
The name says it all! This is an intense and challenging Power Vinyasa workout for advanced students. We spend less time talking and more time flowing. We practice more complicated flows, with arm balances and inversions and how to transition between them.
*You must take our Power Vinyasa class at least a few times first before trying this one.
