Important information

When: Dates to be confirmed

This is an adventure trip, and not for the faint-hearted, so please take note of the following:

  • Terrain: The Greenlandic tundra is not always easy to navigate, so bring good hiking shoes. We will walk for 10km from the boats to the camps, carrying our own stuff. So don’t bring more than you can easily carry on your own back.
  • Camps: We are camping. The tents are simple and practical, but there is no luxury involved at all. We are going to be completely back to nature for these three days. The tents are 3×3 meters wide and sturdy, solid and warm, with an built-in oven and chimney. The camps consist of a kitchen tent, sauna tent and sleeping tents. The sleeping tents have room for 3 people in each, so you will be sharing with two other yogis. Our beds are military-style cots that are very comfortable. We have sleeping bags, but you are welcome to bring your own.
  • Food: Dinner in the camp will be simple, but delicious. We might cook fish we catch in the lakes. Vegan/vegetarian options can be organized, so please send us any dietary specifications.
  • Other: There will be mosquitoes at this time of year, so bring bug spray.

What’s not included

  • Flights
  • Dinner at the hotel/hostel on Day 4
  • Drinks at hotel/hostel & Nordlyset Bar
  • Day 4 & 5 accommodation in Kangerlussuaq town. There are two places to stay in the town – a hotel and a hostel. Both are fine options, one is just more expensive than the other. We will gladly help you to choose which option is best for you.

Insurance/refund policy:

Ensure you have proper travel insurance that covers the unlikely event of sickness, injury, trip cancellation, and other unforeseen events.
