Marie-Louise (aka MALO)

Marie-Louise (Malo) loves teaching yoga and spends most of her time upside down. To her, yoga provides the greatest bridge between a balanced body and a calm, collected mind. Marie-Louise’s specialty is a free-flow style of Power Vinyasa, which is unique to PYC. She also has two university degrees in Journalism and worked as a reporter for over 10 years in many parts of the world.

Malo’s classes will leave you feeling uplifted, energetic and strong, with a newfound courage to believe that anything is possible.

Marie-Louise is the owner and founder of PYC and has 20 years of yoga practice under her belt. She took her teacher training in Minneapolis, USA, at Jonny Kest’s LifePower Yoga school and has a direct lineage to Sri Pathabi Jois.

Ella

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Ella

Stef

Power Vinyasa, Yin

Stef

Stefanie used to be a competitive tennis player but discovered yoga after falling ill with a chronic pain condition. To her, yoga is a way of processing emotions through breath and movement and a tool to find comfort and opportunities in uncomfortable situations.

She teaches powerful vinyasa and juicy yin classes that expand not only your physical body but the space and awareness you carry within.

Besides teaching and practicing yoga, Stefanie works in the field of Public Health. She has a RYT 200 HR in Ashtanga/Vinyasa with Jonah Kest + a 30 HR Pelvic Floor Somatic YTT and a 50 hour Rocket TT.

Laura

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Laura

For Laura yoga is all about exploring her own limits – physically, mentally and spiritually.

Every time Laura steps on the mat, she discovers something new about her body and mind. That’s why her classes focus on leaving preconceptions behind, challenging oneself and discovering what we really are capable of.

In her classes, you’ll get the kick in your butt and the tickle in your heart you need, while flowing to fun, energetic tunes.

Laura is originally from Germany and although she loves Copenhagen, the cold weather is not really her cup of tea. During her time living in Australia, she acquired an unmistakable accent and lingo. G’day!

Laura graduated from her 200 Hours Vinyasa Yoga Alliance certified training from Power Yoga Copenhagen in 2020.

Mads

Kundalini, Breathwork & Meditation

Mads

Mads is a warm-hearted and caring Kundalini teacher, who loves using his body and being active. To him, Kundalini yoga is both physical and meditative and gives an inner calm and the ability to focus, while increasing physical health and a feeling of wellbeing. He brings a deep desire to pass on these qualities in his classes, which are intense, warm and challenging.

Mads studied to be a chiropractor and took his teacher training from the International School of Kundalini Yoga. He also teaches meditation.

His classes are in Danish or English, depending on who is in the class.

Dario

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Dario

Dario embraces the yoga school of Free-flowing and Power Vinyasa. As a runner, Dario started doing yoga to improve strength and flexibility, prevent injuries and improve his overall wellness. Through constant Power Vinyasa training and practice, he has found a deeper meaning to physical health and shape, understanding the essence of being a yogi, which he now shares through his energizing and mindful classes.
With him, you will have the opportunity to discover the potential of your body and mind through powerful and challenging flows, playing with heat, movement and breath-work.
Dario is a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Power Vinyasa teacher from Power Yoga Copenhagen’s in-house YTT.
Caroline

Power Vinyasa, Soundbath, Yin

Caroline

Caroline’s yoga journey began in her late teenage years when she was living in Berlin. Yoga became a way to explore, learn, develop and challenge herself, especially by driving her towards slowing down and learning to feel comfortable with stillness in a fast paced life.

As a long-time practioner at Power Yoga Copenhagen, she is convinced of the approach of Power Yoga Copenhagen and the free flow practice has become such an ingrained part of her practice, which presents itself in an urge in her body if too long has passed without it.

Caroline grew up in Copenhagen but has also lived in Berlin and New York City. On her numerous travels she always tries to get an insight into the local yoga scene and joins local yoga classes to learn and gain inspiration. For Caroline, the yoga mat is like a safe place that always feels like home, no matter where she is.

Caroline’s classes offer a mix of what she enjoys about yoga herself – mindfulness, a focus on breath, balances, stretches and a way to challenge yourself at whatever pace you are welcoming it that day.

Caroline completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Alliance certified training at the Spanda Institute in Sri Lanka and her Soundbath certification in Rishikesh, India.

Oliver

Rocket, Vinyasa, Breathwork

Oliver

Oliver got his RYT 500 Certified yoga teacher training from Rishikesh India. Growing up surrounded by yoga and meditation, with a mom who ran a yoga studio and a dad who led a Buddhist retreat center, his path was naturally set.

Oliver’s passion for movement started at age 9 with karate, where he competed internationally for years and eventually became a 2-time world champion in Ashihara Karate. He also spent two years at acting school and another two years at Circus school, bringing a unique blend of flexibility, creativity, and expressiveness to his classes.

Mia

Power Vinyasa, Meditation

Mia

Being a yoga teacher graduate from 2021, Mia is still exploring and developing the art of teaching. The free-flow style of Power Vinyasa has been part of her yoga practice for several years and for Mia this style offers a unique balance between the physical and mental aspects of yoga.

Every class will invite you to find your edge no matter what your intentions may be for your yoga practice.

Tess

Slowburn

Tess

Yoga came to Tess before she knew she needed it. Leaving Wales for Denmark, Tess hoped to find a sense of freedom and independence, yet it was in the yoga studio that she truly established the feeling of freedom in both body and mind. On her yoga mat, Tess cherishes the sacred space that is offered through yoga along with the love and gratitude it encourages.

In her classes, Tess promises an opportunity to establish a true and deep connection to the present moment and encourages you to be attentive to what arises up inside. Through her classes, you can expect dynamic and sweaty flows along with mediative-inspired asanas targeting your deep connective tissue.

On your mat, she encourages you to find your edge, explore your comfort zones, build that fire up inside of you and find that curiosity in mind, body, and breath.

Tess graduated from her 200-Hours Vinyasa Yoga Alliance certified training from Power Yoga Copenhagen.

Lily

Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Rocket

Lily

Lily is an expat and a passionate traveler at heart, who finds her grounding through yoga, creating a sense of home wherever she goes. She sees yoga as more than a physical practice—it’s a way to connect with our energy, honor the yamas and niyamas, and build meaningful relationships through mindful action.

Her classes are dynamic, playful, and rooted in yang energy, exploring styles like power yoga, rocket yoga, and free-flow sequences. While she loves creativity and movement, she also holds a deep respect for her ashtanga roots and is always excited for a Mysore session.

Beyond yoga, Lily is a dedicated life coach who finds fulfilment in helping others transform their lives. She believes that happy people create a kinder world and is committed to guiding her students toward joy in growth, balance, and self-discovery. Lily is a Yoga Alliance certified 200h Ashtanga Yoga + 50h Rocket Yoga teacher since Nov 2023.

Katia

Core Power, Vinyasa

Katia

Katia is a traveler, a teacher in French school, a writer, a sport coach, a dancer and choreographer. Since 2020, she’s been teaching dance and yoga classes to both kids and adults.

With her husband and two daughters, they explore the world, changing countries every 3-5 years. For the past five years, they lived in Shanghai, where yoga became their “new religion”, ultimately earning 200-hour yoga instructor certifications, guided by incredible teachers from China and India.

Katia: “Yoga balances my body and mind, helping me reconnect with myself in a fast-paced world. Running marathons and engaging in various sports has shown me the power of physical endurance, but yoga taught me the unlimited potential of the human spirit”.

Jenny

Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga

Jenny

Jenny grew up trining ballet and modern dance and found yoga in her early twenties, as a way to maintain her practise and connection to her body. She’s been an avid practitioner ever since, exploring movement to music and different spiritual practices and teachings.

For Jenny, yoga is a tool to bring her out of her head and into her body—an energy she loves to bring into her classes and share with her students.

Her classes focus on the freedom of movement and cultivating a deep connection to the body, with lots of grounding and breathing. She also works with astrology and often aligns her classes with the movements of the stars and planets.

Jenny is a Yoga Alliance-certified 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher.

Hang

Vinyasa

Hang

Hang wishes she had started her yoga journey many years earlier. Her journey first started almost three years ago when she was suffering from knee injuries and asthma, and yoga helped her health improved significantly. Now Hang is free from knee pain and no longer depends on asthma medication.

Besides physical benefits, yoga has also helped her be more connected and better understand herself mentally and emotionally. Hang loves to share experiences and energy with her students.

Her Easy Flow classes are designed for those who would like to both stretch, strengthen and release tension in their body. Through slow and mindful movements, you will achieve a greater flexibility and mobility.

Bjørn

Hatha

Bjørn

After a career as a dancer Bjørn found yoga as a means to recover mental and physical balance. He felt compelled to share his love of the healing benefits of yoga.

Bjørn completed his 500hr Yoga Teacher Training with his Guru Mahinder Prasad in India in 2013 and has gone on to work internationally as a teacher trainer, as well as opening his own yoga school.

Bjørn’s classes are a combination of his deep love of movement and dance, and the essential elements of alignment that provide the body a safe means to explore and heal both the inner and outer self.

His classes are taught in English.

Søren

Root To Rise

Søren

Søren is a real Copenhagener, living all his life in this great city from birth.

His background comes from a broad variety of sports, and today he is still an active duathlete. His motto: Yoga is what keeps my body and mind alive.

Søren has 250hrs of yoga teacher training. His classes combine creativity, smooth flows and great transitions with a focus on strength, enabling the opportunity to stay in this present moment, but also to immerse yourself within the flows.

For Søren, it is important to bring body awareness and calmness in the body and mind to his students, both during class but also off the mat.

He looks forward to see you in his spicy vinyasa class!

Francois

Yin & Yang, Power Vinyasa

Francois

Francois is a traveler that discovered yoga in Russia and got really into it in China.

Yoga saved his life twice. After severe back and leg injuries in mountain skiing he had to find an alternative physical practice. It cured his body, and he managed to run several marathons afterwards.

And in his work environment as a top executive in multinational companies, he’s seen that to face difficulties, nothing can bring a better balance. Apart from love, of course.

His classes are challenging, fun and spiritual.
