Marie-Louise (Malo) loves teaching yoga and spends most of her time upside down. To her, yoga provides the greatest bridge between a balanced body and a calm, collected mind. Marie-Louise’s specialty is a free-flow style of Power Vinyasa, which is unique to PYC. She also has two university degrees in Journalism and worked as a reporter for over 10 years in many parts of the world.

Malo’s classes will leave you feeling uplifted, energetic and strong, with a newfound courage to believe that anything is possible.

Marie-Louise has 12 years of yoga practice under her belt and a teacher training certificate from the US under Jonny Kest’s LifePower Yoga school, which is a member of the Yoga Alliance.

Jesper

Power vinyasa, Yin

Jesper

Jesper is a Yoga Alliance 200-hr registered yoga teacher, who found the love for Power Vinyasa on the East Coast of Australia, in Brisbane. Expect a class bringing focus on yourself and your breath, experimenting with a variety of balancing poses, alignment and developing strength and stability. Come along, unleash your inner child, smile and have some fun.

Although a native Viking, Australia still runs through his veins and Jesper teaches his classes in English.

Marco

Ashtanga

Marco

Marco is a certified Hatha and Ashtanga teacher from the Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center in India. He began practicing yoga as a way to cope with mental and physical stress, but he soon realized how a regular yoga practice was improving his overall sense of well-being, inspiring him to every single moment more mindfully and with an open heart. The more he learned and grew as a yogi, the greater his intention to share his enthusiasm and knowledge of the practice with others.

Marco strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students can deepen their practice while having fun. In his classes, Marco blends breathwork, meditative focus and vigorous vinyasa sequences that will make you feel pleasantly exerted, but also calmer and clear minded.

Dominika

Nice & Easy Vinyasa

Dominika

Dominika was pulled into her first yoga class just when she needed it the most, and got caught. Learning to implement yoga in all spheres of life, she believes this practice is for everyone willing to get curious and explore. With the background in social sciences, she also has a deep interest in the mind and body connection as a tool for individual and social change.

Dominika got her 200-hour certification in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Meditation from India in 2019. Her classes are playful and light-hearted, allowing for individual explorations of what yoga is. Her intention is to find balance between empowering asanas, soft flows and deep stillness, leaving you with a smile on your face.

Toni

Power vinyasa, Morning power

Toni

Toni is from the UK. Living life in London too hard and too fast left Toni seeking balance and purpose, and ultimately led her to discover yoga in her mid-twenties. For Toni, yoga has been a gateway to a happier and healthier lifestyle through a more conscious and connected way of being. Her passion for the practice motivated her to make a big career change and now, several trainings later, she is a 550-hour certified yoga teacher and sport massage therapist.
Toni is a big advocate of explorative movement, encouraging students to be curious and playful. Her classes are fun and creative, incorporating elements of conditioning and movement in order to help you unlock new potential within your physical practice.

All her classes are in English.

Mads

Kundalini, Breathwork & Meditation

Mads

Mads is a warm-hearted and caring Kundalini teacher, who loves using his body and being active. To him, Kundalini yoga is both physical and meditative and gives an inner calm and the ability to focus, while increasing physical health and a feeling of wellbeing. He brings a deep desire to pass on these qualities in his classes, which are intense, warm and challenging.

Mads studied to be a chiropractor and took his teacher training from the International School of Kundalini Yoga. He also teaches meditation.

His classes are in Danish or English, depending on who is in the class.

Hannah

Easy Flow, Power Vinyasa

Hannah

Hannah’s passion for yoga was ignited when she needed to cope with the cold Northwoods winters in Minnesota, USA. For Hannah, yoga goes far beyond a physical workout – it opens the heart, frees the mind, and connects one to their truest self. As an Interior Designer, Hannah holds a passion for creating a positive human experience through her work. With influence from her years of practicing Free-flow Power Vinyasa and High-heart flow Vinyasa, Hannah strives to bring love, bliss, and empowerment to her students through an exhilarating style of teaching.

Hannah has practiced yoga for the last 10 years and she received her 200 hours training in Ashtanga, Hatha, Pranayama, and Meditation at the Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center (Yoga Alliance) in Rishikesh India.

Lina

Jivamukti

Lina

For Lina yoga is a place where you can revisit your values, your true self and your core. She believes that your practice doesn’t end when you leave your mat, and that the experience continues to manifest itself in the smallest daily things.
Having a background in architecture she finds the combination of yoga philosophy and architectural creativity a very powerful tool in approaching both teaching yoga and being an architect.
Whenever Lina is teaching, she’s doing it with an open heart, care and compassion. Through the variety of carefully-sequenced asanas she might push you towards the very edge of your limits, but eventually, it will leave you grounded, uplifted and lighthearted.

Lina took her training in India and is a certified 300 hours Jivamukti Yoga Teacher. Her classes are in English.

Louise (aka LJ)

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Louise (aka LJ)

We all start somewhere. When LJ steps onto her mat she meets the moment as it is. When she travels, her yoga mat serves as a home away from home, a safe place. Other times it serves as a playground where she can go on a journey into her body, explore, discover, be surprised and get out of her comfort zone.
What she loves about yoga is how it immediately makes her feel happier, lighter, empowered, more balanced, connected to her body, mind and the world around her. That’s how she wishes for students to feel when they walk out of her classes.
With a background in Visual Communication and Design, LJ has a passion for function, concepts and narratives, which she strives to incorporate into her teaching in a playful way. Her desire is to trigger both your heart and mind, make you feel seen, challenged and get you into your own body.
Louise graduated from her 200 Hours Vinyasa Yoga Alliance certified training from Power Yoga Copenhagen in 2020.
Dario

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Dario

Dario embraces the yoga school of Free-flowing and Power Vinyasa. As a runner, Dario started doing yoga to improve strength and flexibility, prevent injuries and improve his overall wellness. Through constant Power Vinyasa training and practice, he has found a deeper meaning to physical health and shape, understanding the essence of being a yogi, which he now shares through his energizing and mindful classes.
With him, you will have the opportunity to discover the potential of your body and mind through powerful and challenging flows, playing with heat, movement and breath-work.
Dario is a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Power Vinyasa teacher from Power Yoga Copenhagen’s in-house YTT.
Shira

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Shira

The best yoga for Shira is when the body and mind melt together and become one. To be in a class where there is room for differences is her greatest joy to be a part of. She loves to challenge the conform ways of doing yoga and likes to bring in different genres of music and funny transitions in the flows. When we experience new things in the body and mind, we grow. This interest of hers about growth is connected to her career as a psychologist. She has a degree in psychology, which is why the focus in her classes is often on the mind and self-care.  Apart from teaching yoga, Shira is also studying to become a carpenter.

Shira has her 200 Hours Vinyasa certification from Power Yoga Copenhagen.

Stephanie

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Stephanie

Stephanie Dedieu is always full of energy and loves teaching. Stephanie has always known about yoga from her contemporary dance training, but she started going deeper into her practice in 2016. It was her boyfriend who convinced her to join – and she absolutely hated the first class. But she was too stubborn to just give up, and as she let go of competing on the mat, she fell in love with the style of Power Vinyasa. It was the first time in a long time that she felt a true and honest development because she stopped comparing herself to the other people in the room.

She guarantees you will sweat buckets in her class with fun, challenging flows that allow you to focus on you. Steph works as a hospital clown, so she is used to dealing with every type of feeling in one go, and you can be sure, she will make space for you in the room as well. Come exactly as you are – even if you do not like yoga.

Stephanie is very down to earth, but her energy level is always a little bit over the top – but you can’t get enough of that. She graduated from PYC’s 200-hour Vinyasa Teacher Training in 2020.

Laura

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Laura

For Laura yoga is all about exploring her own limits – physically, mentally and spiritually.

Every time Laura steps on the mat, she discovers something new about her body and mind. That’s why her classes focus on leaving preconceptions behind, challenging oneself and discovering what we really are capable of.

In her classes, you’ll get the kick in your butt and the tickle in your heart you need, while flowing to fun, energetic tunes.

Laura is originally from Germany and although she loves Copenhagen, the cold weather is not really her cup of tea. During her time living in Australia, she acquired an unmistakable accent and lingo. G’day!

Laura graduated from her 200 Hours Vinyasa Yoga Alliance certified training from Power Yoga Copenhagen in 2020.

Ella

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Ella

Bodil

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Bodil

Bodil has been practicing different yoga styles since 2012. In 2017 she discovered free-flow power yoga, which really expanded her practice and finally inspired her to become a yoga teacher in 2020, so she joined PYC’s first 200 Hours Vinyasa Teacher Training Program.

She is a sucker for high-intensity flowing but has come to cherish a deeper and focused practice, recognising its essential qualities. When she’s not teaching yoga, she’s working working in a public office, running around town or at home on the couch with her cat. Bodil is a proud Sagittarius (with quite a lot of Virgo placements) and looks forward to kicking your butt in her awesome sweaty yoga classes.

Lena

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Lena

Lena has been actively practicing yoga for nine years and grew up with a yoga-enthusiastic mother at her side. It has given Lena much joy and love – love for herself, her surroundings and for life. When she’s out of balance, it always brings her back to herself. As a yoga teacher, Lena wants to give back the love, lightness and energy she experiences herself through yoga.

Lena’s classes encourage you to explore your own body and mind and to go deeper and beyond – physically and mentally. She loves a creative, challenging class, which makes you sweat, brings you smiles and ease at the same time. As a food scientist, she deeply cares about a conscious, sustainable lifestyle in balance with her environment. She believes that yoga and meditation teaches us all to be kind to others and ourselves.

In 2020, she completed the 200-Hour Power Vinyasa Teacher Training at Power Yoga Copenhagen.

Sofiya

Slowburn, Yin

Sofiya

Sofiya is passionate about the physical practice of yoga, as well as the thinking behind it. For her yoga is not only a workout but a way to connect body and mind. It’s a tool to live a better life off the mat.

Sofiya has done voluntary projects promoting peace for many years. She herself has found peace through yoga and therefore feels that teaching this ancient practice helps her to spread it to others.

Her classes are fluid and mellow, with a funky touch that will bring you joy and strength. Sofiya motivates and supports her students on the mat and loves seeing their progress. She also encourages the yogi to bring their practice off the mat into their normal lives, where she hopes they can experience real inner growth.

In 2020, Sofiya graduated from the 200-hour Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Power Yoga Copenhagen.

Charlotte

Power Vinyasa, Slowburn, Yin

Charlotte

Charlotte is a warm-hearted person, who loves the energy that is created when practicing together with a room full of yogis. Charlotte has practiced yoga for the past six years, yet it wasn’t until she tried the energetic form of Power Vinyasa that she was truly hooked. This form of yoga is fun and sweaty, moving your body to the rhythm of your breath and the music. When you’re in it, you can only focus on the present, giving your mind a complete rest from the outside world. This is what Charlotte hopes to share with you in her classes.

Charlotte graduated from her 200 Hours Vinyasa Yoga Alliance certified training from Power Yoga Copenhagen in 2020.

Tom (Sub)

Core Power

Tom (Sub)

Tom is new to Denmark, but not new to yoga: he found yoga 25 years ago and was immediately captured by its transformative benefits. After decades of practice and workshops in Denver, San Francisco and Bali, Tom received his first 200-hour teacher training in 2016.

For Tom, yoga is not just the practice of breathing, stretching, strengthening, and mindfulness, but also the difficult process of learning to love yourself and embracing the unique manifestation that is you. His devotion-filled classes are invigorating, stimulating, strong and nurturing as he creates a space filled with fun, focus, kindness, laughter, chanting, and great music to safely explore the lasting benefits of yoga.

Thit (Sub)

Deep Vinyasa, Easy Flow, Yin

Thit (Sub)

Movement and teaching have been a part of Thit’s life for several years and are both a great passion of hers.

She is educated as a Sports Teacher and Personal Trainer, and in her daily work she teaches functional movement and mobility. For her, yoga is a fantastic workout for both the body and the mind.

Thit loves to make people sweat in her Vinyasa classes and to help people improve strength and flexibility, all while having a good time! She also greatly appreciates the benefits of Yin and meditation.

Thit has a Yoga Teacher Certificate from Hot Yoga Cph (Yoga Alliance certified). Her classes are in English.

Sophie (Sub)

Power Vinyasa, Yin

Sophie (Sub)

Sophie has always loved to use her body. She used to do weightlifting, but after a period of going through stress, she began to practice yoga and discovered that it gave her something weightlifting couldn’t – peace in mind and body.

She is educated as a nurse and finds that yoga gives her overview in situations, where it is helpful to be calm. After practising yoga for six years, Sophie became a yoga teacher because she loves to inspire others to be a better version of themselves. Sophie is a very calm teacher and it is important for her to make her students feel safe on the mat and leave them with an uplifting and self-loving feeling.

Sophie has a Vinyasa teacher training from Greenpath Yoga Studio, Brazil, which is a member of the Yoga Alliance. Her classes are in English.

Nathalie (Sub)

Jivamukti

Nathalie (Sub)

Nathalie has a background in the performing arts as a dancer and performer. After falling ill with a rare disease she had to let go of her career as a professional dancer and find new pathways in life. She discovered Jivamukti Yoga at the beginning of 2016 and experienced how it gave her a similar sensation as when dancing; movement to music, balance, refined technique, and a constant strive to develop beyond the physical and mental limits of the body. She also experienced how the method supported her healing process on a physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual level. Helping her to find meaning and courage to move on from the idea of a past identity as a dancer.

She fell in love with the holistic approach and devotional nature of the method and sees great power in yoga as a transformative practice and facilitator of humans shift into a higher consciousness, which is crucial during this season of our existence.

Through blending her professional roles as an experience designer, change consultant, artist, and yoga teacher she likes to create experiences that cultivate presence, promote wellbeing and contribute to meaningful transformations in life, for the benefit of all beings.

Nathalie is a substitute Jivamukti teacher at PYC. All levels welcome.
